The Pullman Chamber of Commerce is currently hiring for three positions: Business Manager, Communications Coordinator, and Tourism Promotions Manager. We would love to see thriving, young professionals become part of the Pullman Chamber.

1. Pullman Chamber of Commerce Business Manager
Purpose – The Pullman Chamber of Commerce connects and supports local businesses, community members and visitors. Our Business Manager makes this possible by managing the Chamber’s business activities, accounts payable and receivable and running payroll. They work closely with the Chamber team to develop strong working relationships with the members of the chamber and community through events and warm, regular communication. The Business Manager reports to the Executive Director.
Core Responsibilities
Develop and maintain yearly financial plans. Manage the Chamber’s budget.
Manage the Chamber’s insurance, banking, tax, payroll, invoicing and accounts receivable activities.
Collaborate on networking and fundraising events, such as the National Lentil Festival and Cabaret.
Engage and assist new and current Chamber members. Organize the Monthly Chamber Lunch.
Support the Director with board meeting logistics, including meeting notes, agendas and packet preparation.
Keep the Chamber office stocked, organized, and well-maintained.
Support the Communications Coordinator as necessary with marketing and communications planning and tasks.
Required Qualifications
Two years of college education and/or equivalent related work experience.
Proven ability to work with a wide variety of people, including co-workers and the public.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Commitment to flexibility.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
General accounting skills.
Experience in or ability to quickly learn software programs such as Canva, Adobe, and QuickBooks and Constant Contact.
Ability to meet multiple deadlines – sometimes under pressure – and produce consistently positive results.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, poise and good humor.
Willingness to delegate and work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications –
Four-year degree in a related field such as business, hospitality or event management.
Knowledge and/or experience in working with budgets and non-profit organizations.

2. Pullman Chamber of Commerce Communications Coordinator
Purpose – The Pullman Chamber of Commerce connects and supports local businesses, community members and visitors. Our Communications Coordinator supports this mission through engaging, clear and timely marketing and communications efforts targeted at our business community, tourists and local citizens. The Communications Coordinator reports to the Executive Director.
Core Responsibilities
Lead marketing activities, such as the Chamber eNewsletter, website updates and events calendar, ensuring that these activities are well-planned, focused on key Chamber messages and objectives.
Ensure that all Chamber communications are well-written and professional.
Identify topics of interest to the local community and businesses, and share updates via social media, newsletters, phone calls, mailings, events and the web site.
Support the Chamber staff in the coordination, promotion and production of events.
Promote the Chamber’s successes and contributions through press releases, social media, advertising and word of mouth.
Required Qualifications
Education or two-plus years of experience in Marketing, Communications, Media or Events. Proven ability to work with a wide variety of people, including co-workers and the public.
Understanding of how to translate Chamber objectives and successes into relevant and timely messaging.
Understanding of various communications tools – web, traditional media, social media, e-mail, direct mail, events, personal communication, etc. — and when to use each.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet multiple deadlines and produce consistently positive results.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, poise and good humor.
Ability to work collaboratively.

3. Pullman Chamber of Commerce Tourism Promotions Manager
Purpose – The Pullman Chamber of Commerce connects and supports local businesses, community members and visitors. Our Tourism Promotions Manager makes this possible through the promotion of Pullman and our region as a tourism destination and desirable place to live, work and do business. They also support the Chamber’s day-to-day operations, member relations and event planning. The Tourism Promotions Manager reports to the Executive Director.
Core Responsibilities
Work with local, regional and state organizations to promote Pullman as a tourism destination.
Plan and implement a cohesive tourism advertising and marketing campaign that includes print and digital advertising, social media, web updates, e-mail communication and events.
Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator to develop advertising and messaging that resonates with target audiences.
Manage the advertising plan.
Create, update, produce and distribute digital and print promotional materials, including multiple brochures, the Pullman Activities Guide, the Monthly Calendar of Events, the Pullman City Map, etc. Coordinate production and printing.
With support from the Communications Coordinator, manage content, updates and quality of all Chamber-related websites.
Collaborate with Chamber staff to create and produce key events, such as the National Lentil Festival, Cabaret, 4th of July celebration, Pullman Art Walk, etc.
Own tourism-related reporting, data management and communication and tourism-related budgeting.
Required Qualifications
Education in Recreation and Tourism, Hospitality, Communications or four-plus years of related work experience.
Proven ability to lead public-facing initiatives, including campaigns and events.
Experience working productively with a variety of people, including co-workers and the public.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness and ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
